Highlights of this course

  • Izunoyama Freshwater Fish Aquarium

    The sturgeon, which was successfully cultivated for the first time in Miyazaki Prefecture using spring water from Mount Izunoyama, as well as the giant salamander, a national natural treasure, are on display.
    Freshwater fish native to the prefecture, such as landlocked salmon and ayu (sweetfish), and freshwater fish native to other countries, such as pirarucu, arowana, and redtail cat, are also worth seeing.
  • Ikoma Plateau

    Ikoma Plateau is a highland of flowers with rape blossoms and poppies in spring and cosmos in autumn. The spectacle of one million flowers in full bloom every year is spectacular.
    The magnificent Kirishima mountain range and the Kyushu Mountains can also be seen. A café is attached to Hana no Eki, where you can enjoy delicious coffee and rich ice cream.
  • Kirishima Cenjinsha

    Niniginomikoto, Hikohodeminomikoto, and Ugayafukiahezunomikoto are referred to as the three generations of Hyuga as ancestors of the imperial family.
    Konohanasakuyahimenomikoto, Toyotamahimenomikoto, and Tamayorihimenomikoto are worshipped as their respective spouse deities.
