Please visit the geo-sites and experience the nature of Kobayashi.

Highlights of this course

  • Seven Oriki Waterfalls

    Nanaore no Taki is a waterfall on the Ishigoori River. Only the rock surface in the stream channel is reddish brown in color.
    The waterfall can be seen in front of the Kawachi Bridge, and when looking up from directly below, it falls in multiple bends.
  • sulfur mine

    Io-yama (硫黄山) is an active volcano with an elevation of 1,317 meters located in the Ebino Plateau in Ebino City, Miyazaki Prefecture. Located northwest of Mt. Korea, it is the newest volcano in the Kirishima mountain range.
    In the past, fumaroles were actively observed, and from 1897 to 1955, sulfur was extracted by cooling the fumaroles, and the remains of the masonry inside the crater can still be seen.
  • Ebino Eco Museum Center

    Ebino Eco Museum Center introduces the nature, history, and climbing information of Mt. Kirishima through panels, videos, and specimens.
    Kirishima is enjoyed as a base for familiarizing oneself with the nature of Mt.
