Highlights of this course

  • (1)Palm tree swing

The "palm tree swing" on the Itoshima Peninsula is attracting attention as an Instagram-worthy spot.
Why not take a picture as a memory of your trip?
Swinging on the swing while enjoying the pleasant sea breeze and looking at the blue sea and sky in front of you is a blissful moment of peace of mind.
  • (2)Futamigaura

The shimenawa (sacred rope) on the couple's rocks, which float 150 m in the sea 150 m from the shore, is replaced at high tide in May and dedicated as the Great Shomenawa Kake Matsuri.
It was designated as a scenic spot by Fukuoka Prefecture in 1968, and is one of the 100 best places to swim on the shores of Japan.
  • (3)Palm Beach

It is a complex of restaurants, cafes, and general stores, overlooking the beach and offering a bit of a tropical atmosphere.

Also, if you go down to the nearby sandy beach, you will find the Instagram-worthy "angel wings," a popular photo spot.
  • (4)Akutoya Daimon

The largest of the three major Genbudo caves in Japan.
The cave can be viewed from the sea by a sightseeing boat, and when the waves are calm and the cave is quiet, it is possible to enter the cave (about 10 meters).
  • (5)Salt from Mataichi

The salt factory "Kobo Totton" is located in Itoshima, Fukuoka Prefecture, where salt is produced the old-fashioned way, with a rich taste of the sea's bounty.
The workshop sells "salt-boiled eggs" boiled in a salt-making kettle, homemade "salt bread," and drinks made from seasonal fruits.
